VIA organizes a Talk by OCTAVE Co-Founder on ‘Using Sales & Marketing Concepts for Small Business'

Many people think that selling and marketing are same. However, they aren’t. While marketing process is a broader term, selling is one of the activities of the entire marketing process, said co-founder of Octave Business School Chandra Bhople. 
He was speaking on ‘Using Sales & Marketing Concepts for Small Business at a programme organized by Marketing Forum of Vidarbha Industries Association (VIA) in the city recently. Convenor of VIA Marketing Forum Akash Agrawal and VIA president Pravin Tapadia were seated on the dais.  
In a very interesting and interactive session Mr. Bhople was surprised to hear variety of questions coming up from the audience from their real life experience, which helped him to gauge the business challenges faced by the small and medium enterprises (SMEs). 
Mr. Bhople in very simple and lucid manner suggested various solutions to the problems put forth by the participants.He said that the entrepreneur must increase customer base and reach newer geographical locations, improve profitability in the face of competition and customer pressure on prices, find additional capital investment for expansion of business, find qualified people to manage current business and planned expansion and scale up family business and lastly what is the right price. 
Earlier, convenor of VIA Marketing Forum Akash Agrawal, introduced the speaker. Mr. Tapadia, in his welcome address said that marketing is a very important aspect of today’s competitive world and expected a lot from OCTAVE the institute being floated by Mr. Bhople. 
Prof Q H Jeevaji proposed a vote of thanks. A large number of industrialists from the city attended the programme.
