Nagpur gets its first International Standard Business School


OCTAVE Business School (www.octavesbm.in) in Nagpur is founded by eight (8) global management professionals who are BITS Pilani Alumni with MBA degree from IIMA, IIMB, ISB and SP Jain. “I am very happy that management professionals have entered in management education” says Suresh Sharma, CMD of Baidyanath, Nagpur. The founders belong to Vidarbha region and hence have decided to start OCTAVE in Nagpur. “Nagpur needs to improve its image in quality of management education and OCTAVE will play a big role” says Arun Saxena, founder and CEO of EASYPACK which employs about 700 professionals in Nagpur and NOIDA.
OCTAVE offers 2-year full time dual degree Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Business Leadership designed according to industry needs and an UGC/AICTE/DEC approved MBA. “OCTAVE’s management curriculum is a blend of academic rigor and wisdom distilled from successful management professionals.  At OCTAVE, theory meets practice in offering the highest quality of management education in India” says Professor S.P. Kothari, Gordon Y Billard Professor of Management, Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA and a board member of OCTAVE.
The Institute highlights are industry partnerships for job placements and ongoing industry projects for students, unique 3-tier teaching resources to address shortage of good quality faculty in the region and 1-week industry training in Singapore, Taiwan or China. OCTAVE founders will accompany students during this training. In addition, select students will have opportunity for internship in USA and Canada. Teaching resources already include 26 industry experts.  The board includes high profile academicians and corporate leaders from India, USA and Canada.
